Cookies

Cookies are small files that some websites store on your phone or computer. Ours are the digital kind, so no temperature probe required. Here's exactly what's in them.

The short answer

We only use cookies for Google Analytics, which counts visits and shows which pages help people most. They're only set if you click Accept. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

We also save your Accept or Reject choice in your browser, so we don't ask you on every page. This isn't sent to anyone.

Google Analytics doesn't tell us who you are. We see totals, such as how many people visited a page and roughly which part of the UK they came from. You can read how Google uses this information on Google's own page.

Changing your mind

Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to accept or reject. If you reject, we stop Google Analytics and remove its cookies. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.

What happens when you visit

When you visit any website, your device automatically sends some basic technical information, like your IP address and the type of browser you're using, to the server that hosts the site. Our hosting company uses this to deliver the pages and keep the site secure. Our privacy notice explains more.

Links to other websites

When you click a link to a training provider or another website, you leave our site, and that website's own cookie rules apply. Some links to course providers go through an affiliate network, which may set a cookie to record that you came from us. Our affiliate disclosure explains how these links work.
